I don't know that anyone here can tell you exactly what you should have (and I might even advise simply listening to advice here with an open mind to all but without allowing any one person's opinion to sway you directly - obviously an overwhelming recommendation of the same software here would indicate a wise choice). Just make an educated decision on capability, coverage, reliability, reputation, etc.

I would advise weighing multiple options (as you've started) and read reviews (search for them if they're not broadcast on the vendor's sites). The down side is, while multiple programs from varying vendors would be the logically ideal solution, multiple active scanning applications usually conflict with each other and can (often times do) cause OS problems, if not corruption/instability. Companies who have more capital tend to have more thorough coverage and detection capabilities because they can invest in research beyond user's submissions. Because of this, different programs will detect different threats, making no one, generally and inherently, better than the the next. antivirus, antispyware, etc) because they have different researchers, different sources for providing details on new virus's and spyware, etc. However, different programs will render different results (even within the same category e.g. As my only Enterprise level experience with AV is McAfee VirusScan Enterprise,I can advise any one or other way.
